Job Purpose:

The Warranty/Repair Administrator is responsible for management of the Warranty and Repair functions related to both Consignment and Company-Owned Materials. The administrator will work to assure the company receives the maximum value from these materials by monitoring vendor turn around times (TAT’s) as well as via thorough review of consignment repair costs not covered under the warranty program or costs contained in select fleet campaigns for which reimbursement is available. Additionally, the Warranty /Repair Administrator will review aspects of contract pricing to verify vendor compliance. Other duties include but are not limited to assistance in the analysis of reliability reports related to company on time performance due to parts reliability and availability. The Warranty Repair Administrator reports to the Supervisor of Inventory Administration and also performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

* Minimum two years of experience in the aviation industry and/or aircraft materials and logistics support or related work experience preferred.

* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience in the aviation industry and/or discipline.

* Candidate must be able to perform basic mathematical functions in an accurate and efficient manner.

* Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

* Must have the ability to routinely move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

* Working knowledge of all applicable Federal Regulations is highly desirable.

* Project planning experience is a plus.

* Experience in addressing accounts payable issues and concerns a plus.

* Self-motivated, and able to work independently.

* C.P.M., A.P.P, C.I.P.M. or other supply chain accreditations.

* Knowledge of Hazardous Materials shipping

* Project Management Certification

Job Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

* Possess familiarity with industry standards, General Maintenance Manuals, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s), and Air Transport Association (ATA) coding.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization.

* Individual must be capable of coordinating multiple high priority requests in an organized, urgent manner.

* Customs broker experience and knowledge of international shipping laws is highly desirable.

* Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

* The ability to propose and develop metrics for vendor and departmental performance evaluation pertaining to predefined criteria.

Job Specific Duties:

Track No Fault Found and Customer Induced Damage claims and work to resolve issues as they arrive

*

Write repair orders including all company owned parts for routine maintenance

*

Manage the recertification of calibrated tools in conjunction with the Quality Control Group

*

Follow up on open repair orders

*

Track rotable parts to assure the cores are returned to the vendor

*

Assist in resolution of shipping issues to assure parts arrive in a timely manner

*

Coordinate between Compass Finance and manufacturers to maximize warranty credits

*

Develop and track agreed upon metrics to measure departmental performance

*

Analyze vendor performance related to contractual obligations as assigned

*

Track repair costs versus contract prices where applicable to assure vendor compliance

Perform analysis to determine need for future needs for additional rotables based on current sparing levels

Coordinates between the Maintenance and Engineering groups to assure that all credits are collected from the vendors for service bulletins or fleet campaigns

Work Environment:

The work environment is primarily an office setting but some off-site work may be required. The Warranty/Repair administrator will work in a fast-paced environment with key responsibility to provide repaired materials in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Assurance of minimal delays or cancellations due to lack of parts availability is their primary objective. The administrator will serve as a backup for AOG coordinators on an exception basis. Prompt submission of Warranty claims and follow through are also required to assure that the maximum value of the inventory is received by the company.
