Virtual Human Resources (VHR) are currently looking for an experience Warehouse/Logistics person for a permanent position based in Hounslow, West London
The ideal person will have previous experience of stores / warehouse disciplines and aircraft spare parts knowledge would be an advantage. Candidates should include be enthusiastic, self-motivated, have attention to detail, accurate and physically fit with the ability to undertake manual duties.
Good IT and communication skills plus flexibility with a full driving licence and own transport are essential
Duties of the role
- Work as part of a team to ensure Quality inspection of orders / products for shipment, efficient and effective packaging techniques and all outgoing shipments are handled in accordance with company procedures and meet all operational requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Goods despatch/ Goods receipt
- Picking and Packing
- Inventory control
- Quality inspection of aircraft parts
- Accurate and efficient storage of goods
- Efficient and effective packaging techniques
- Accurate data entry and update of IT systems
- Counter balance / Reach Forklift use within stores (Forklift licence will be an advantage)
- Verification of compliance with industry certifications and regulations
- Ensure adherence to airworthiness certification requirements
- Work with all internal departments to ensure on time delivery of orders
- Process shipments to and from global customers and suppliers
- Recognise and react to the urgency of customer orders including AOG, urgent and routine shipments ensuring all turnaround times are met.
- Negotiate the most cost-effective shipment method. (If required)
- Ensure accurate paperwork completion as per customers and country specific requirements.
- Complete paperwork required
- Adhere to all import and export procedures and controls
- Recognise and organise hazardous and heavyweight shipments in accordance with shipping constraints
- Resolve queries / shipments through to completion. (Dangerous Goods qualification will be an advantage)

- Monday- Friday
- 08:30-17:30
Salary
- Up to £22000 per annum depending on experience
