This announcement is for an unlicensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician
Helper for Ravn Air Group. This position reports to the Lead Aircraft
Maintenance Technician in Palmer for Ravn Connect and is responsible for
assigned repairs and maintenance, under supervision of a trained and
certified Aircraft Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will
have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to follow instructions, and a
desire to pursue an Airframe and PowerPlant (A&P) license.
This is a non-exempt, full time, benefits-eligible position. Position typically
works four 10-hour days in Palmer, however overtime may be required as
dictated by business needs and with management approval.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED required; Must have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record according to the
company’s insurance policy; A strong mechanical aptitude is required, with a strong preference towards
previous aviation maintenance experience and/or education; Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings to perform assigned
maintenance tasks; Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks; Good written and verbal communication skills; Proficient, or able to become proficient, in all documentation of paperwork using
maintenance tracking software program, including material requisitions; Requires a strong safety awareness and the ability to adhere to Safety
Management Systems (SMS); Able to pass a comprehensive background check; Comfortable working in an airport environment around odors and sounds typically
associated with operating aircraft.
Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for accomplishing all work in accordance with the company
maintenance publications and the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR’s); Execute all forms in conformity with the Company manuals, taking care to sign
forms where signature is appropriate; Ascertain that all labor and materials used are properly accounted for and are
allocated to the job in an economical manner; Ensure the work area is kept clean and in an orderly manner, and see that all
safety instructions are obeyed; Participate as requested in company training activities that pertain to their work; Endeavor to increase knowledge and skill, work toward becoming a certified
mechanic, and learn to use the company manuals with speed, accuracy, and
skill; Perform other duties assigned by the Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician or
the Maintenance Supervisor; Responsible for promoting identification and reporting of safety hazards in the
work environment or when confronted with an unsafe situation. Promotes a
positive Safety Culture with co-workers and supports the organization in
compliance with Safety Management System (SMS); Other duties as assigned and within the scope of this position.
