Get to know the role

The Virgin Australia Treasury team is responsible for managing three of the largest financial risks to the Group: Fuel, FX and Liquidity risk. Financial analysis and reporting are integral to support the on-going management of these exposures.

As the Treasury Accounting Lead, your key accountabilities will be:

* Accounting and reporting on complex hedging and financing arrangements

* Manage Treasury balance sheet risks

* Manage accounting for leasing obligations

* Manage budget requirements for Treasury cash flows and P&L

* Manage Treasury compliance reporting

* Lead Treasury Accountant in delivering on accounting requirements

This role requires a high degree of accuracy in reporting to the Manager, Treasury Operations.

Please note that this role is a 12month Maternity Leave Cover.

What you’ll need:

* Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA)

* Understanding and application of accounting standards relating to financial instruments

* Experience working in a corporate Treasury team

* Demonstrable systems abilities and a high level of computer literacy
