Role Summary

The role is to provide region specific project management support of all helicopter lease transitions, fleet oversight and technical subject matter expert input to the deal team process.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the project Management team on all aircraft deliveries and redeliveries, providing fleet oversight and supporting the commercial team to cultivate opportunities; providing technical due diligence, recommendations and approval through LOI, lease assembly and execution phases..  

 

Essential Responsibilities

This is a demanding customer facing Technical management support role requiring an ability to multitask, in a complex high pressure environment. 

The role also requires the Technical Support Manager to provide Technical subject matter input to sales campaigns, providing, technical due diligence, cost to market of aircraft, maintenance cost analysis, lease maintenance and return requirements

Related Task Requirements

  • Conduct physical aircraft surveys – pre-buy and redelivery on an as required basis
  • Support new aircraft deliveries ensuring the aircraft meets the contract requirements
  • Carry out aircraft record audits on an as required basis
  • Assemble redelivery project budgets 12 months in advance of event
  • Assemble resource plan for redelivery/deliveries (consultants, MRO / OEM support, logistics)
  • Solicit proposals from OEMs and MROs for potential configuration changes
  • Calculate Betterment and Determent reconciliation for lease returns
  • Negotiate maintenance and return requirements with potential lessees 
  • Participate in Roll Off planning meetings
  • Arrange disassembly, preservation and shipping contracts
  • Participate in Deal Team activities including assisting in the preparation of letters of intent, approval papers, contracts and act as technical liaison during negotiations for used aircraft and purchase lease backs, maintenance and return conditions of commercial helicopters and other aviation related assets.
  • Review annual audit reports priding feedback to the customer and required follow up action. .

Basic Requirements

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent education
  • Preferably a minimum 5 years experience in a rotary wing technical role either as a licensed engineer or technical services manager
  • Project Management experience
  • Confident with experience in customer facing roles.
  • Demonstrated practical technical ability.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.

Eligibility Requirements

  • MUST have unrestricted authorization to work in Dublin
  • MUST be at least 18 years of age.
  • MUST be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification and background check.
    •  MUST be willing to travel up to 30% of the time.

Desired, Additional Qualifications

  • Advanced University degree or equivalent professional qualification in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field with commercial aviation focus.
  • Proven success at multi-tasking in a high pressure aviation environment with multiple shifting priorities.
  • Experience working with helicopter manufacturers and industry players (Leonardo, Bell Helicopters, Sikorsky and Airbus Helicopters and their respective products) - Desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, self motivated.
  • Strong PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
