Currently, the Industrial Group, within in the East Aurora/Buffalo, NY location, is growing exponentially and is seeking a Sales Associate to add to their team! This group specializes in high performance motion control products, solutions and services, including but not limited to Servoactuators, Valves, Pumps, Controllers, Motors, Electric Actuators and Services. The industries we work in span from Industrial Automation/Machinery, Test, Forest Products, Pulp, Paper, Rubber, Energy, Oil/Gas exploration and so many more.

Here’s what you’ll work on:

* Provide additional sales coverage both inside the office and directly with outside with customers as well.

* Major, minor and development program proposal generation

* Assist in the formulation of sales strategies and forecasting processes.

* Provide inputs to forecasting efforts.

* Inter-department coordination with cross functional teams and Value Stream Managers.

* Prepare and deliver complex/technical customer support and presentations to customers.

* Maintain and report cognizance of competitive activity.

* Keep informed on new products within the market and general information of interest to customers. Recommend new opportunities (markets, products, customers) as appropriate.

* Assist Sales Management and Outside sales team with training of new sales personnel and Distributors.

To be considered for this position you’ll need the following:

* Preferred Bachelors of Science Degree in a technical field and minimum of 3 years Sales experience.

* Technical knowledge to present/support complex control system hardware is preferred.

* Proven general capabilities/competencies in direct sales, distribution, relationship building and account management are required.

* Proven specific capabilities/competencies in developing accurate forecasts, achieving sales goals, and effective distributor & representative management.

* Must possess the ability to demonstrate a high degree of independent judgment.

* Technical/engineering knowledge, problem solving and decision making skills also required.

* Ability to travel up to 30%.
