We are searching for a Technical Project Engineer , at our Power Management - Norfolk, VA , location. This position requires a DOD Secret Security Clearance at the time of hire.

You will demonstrate success by:

Supporting the BFTT Program Manager in all technical facets of the BFTT Program to include development and processing of contract deliverables and material requisitions in support of installations and System Operational Verification Testing efforts.

*

Managing the engineering test team waterfront and shore site testing and technical assistance visits in support of the BFTT ISEA.

*

Developing and distributing the Technical Monthly report for all primary and subcontractor efforts provided to the BFTT ISEA and Program Office.

*

Reading detailed technical documentation and installation drawings and developing white papers from those documents and provide analysis and training to the test team as required for upcoming or ongoing installations.

*

Assisting with scheduling and planning of system upgrades.

*

Participating in and briefing at meetings and teleconferences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline

*

Eight (8) years of full-time professional experience working in an engineering capacity in providing technical support related to the design, development, production, or testing of shipboard systems.

*

This includes Seven (7) years full-time hands-on experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or testing of any one major shipboard system/equipment.

*

The requirement for full time experience precludes concurrent experience on more than one system/equipment unless they are all equivalent in complexity and maintenance philosophy.

*

A detailed knowledge of the AEGIS or SSDS Combat System Suite is desired.

*

Candidate must have effective oral and verbal communications.

*

Must possess a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

*

Must be U.S. Citizen.
