Team Leader 2nd shift

Position Description:

• Work with personnel on procedures and processes to perform in their job description to monitor and improve productivity and quality.
• Demonstrate high levels of productivity to inspire and motivate team to achieve goals and objectives
• Be a role model for the Safety Program.
• Understand and support the Company’s ISO Quality Management System.
• Execute the build schedule on the production floor according to priorities.
• Resource Documentation Kit discrepancies (i.e. routing, prints, materials, etc.)
• Communicate with Engineering for any discrepancies with process set-up, process maintenance, manufacturing equipment and tooling maintenance, and calibration of inspection equipment.
• Continually monitor area to identify areas for improvement.
• Make recommendations for employee training and development.
• Participate in hiring process.
• Participate in performance reviews for annual performance evaluation of direct reports based on Performance Management System.
• Administer attendance and approve hours reported to payroll.
• Communicate all performance, conduct, attendance and safety issues relating to employees to Production Mgr . and management as appropriate.
• Enforce Company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Perform line clearance (tooling, raw materials) and review production standards of completed job
• Responsible to resource the Quality Standards for products and acceptability
• Responsible for machine assignments and effectiveness or resource allocation.
• Responsible to perform data collection and reporting to meet goals and standards
• All other duties and assignments as requested

Position Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment with progressive responsibility.
• Demonstrated record of reliability including attendance, productivity, and quality.
• Demonstrated the ability to read and interpret blueprints, graphs, and special charts (SPC) is preferred
• Experience with laser-based machining and post processing is preferred.
• Experience working on a Continuous Improvement and/or a Problem-Solving team is desired, Team leadership is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with proven ability to be proactive and self-motivated.
• Demonstrated the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead personnel to achieve desired results.
• Effective communication, interaction, cooperation, and collaboration skills with employees at all levels and in all functions.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills are desired
• Demonstrated intermediate level of computer skills, advanced computer skills desired.
