Reporting to the Manager, Remittance and Settlement, the incumbent will be be part of a team that is responsible for the effective management of R&S activities, and for providing customer support to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Support the R&S process by performing matching activities, handling adjustments and post-billing disputes;
Download agents and airline’s billing, perform basic sanity checks and highlight any issues;
Perform detailed matching activities with different criteria such as agent code, agent name or billing amount;
Prepare agent remittance files by reconciling opening, movement and closing balances;
Monitor bank statements on daily basis and follow up on discrepancies as required;
Prepare detailed Bank Reconciliation, reconcile Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable and identify any suspense amount and take proper actions for aged items;
Prepare airlines transfer requests;
Ensure timely submissions of files and timely processing as per scheduled calendar;
Maintain proper communication with all stakeholders, Filed Offices and other divisions;
Manage day to day Global Delivery Centre Operations according to IATA standards, rules and procedures;
Assist with any other tasks as assigned by the Manager, R&S.

Qualifications and Skills

University degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or a business related field;
3 years’ experience in a business support function, preferably in a multicultural/commercial environment;
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced and highly demanding environment while meeting tight deadlines;
Ability to set priorities, work with speed with a strong customer focus and a high level of energy and drive;
Excellent IT skills including MS office, especially Excel; Excellent communications skills in English (written and spoken);
Excellent communications skills in English (written and spoken);
In addition, proficiency in Arabic, French or Portuguese will be an advantage.
