Responsibilities

Secures contracts to support the purchasing process; conducts project-oriented market analysis as well as risk analysis. Performs analyses and strategic sourcing activities, including spend analysis and sourcing analysis for opportunities on parts and consumable materials on or in the aircraft (nuts, bolts, actuating pieces, bearings, etc.). Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with OEM suppliers.

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:

* Negotiates and drafts complex contracts
* Identifies and collects cost saving initiatives, cost avoidance, and cost deferrals pertaining to contractual relationships
* Leads cross-functional Teams for category-specific projects, delivering significant budgetable savings and efficiencies on strategic projects and contract negotiations
* Proactively supports supplier compliance to contracts, corporate standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
* Works with Supply Chain and Category Managers to identify and evaluate contract improvement initiatives though data-driven analysis
* Develops presentations and reporting for Supply Chain Managers, suppliers, and other Sr. Leaders
* Determines and implements appropriate levers to achieve best price, balancing cost with operational considerations
* Creates and implements project or work plans for assigned categories and holds others accountable to plan
* Researches assigned categories and commodities for new developments
* Leads successful completion of competitive sourcing activities via web based tool or email
* Creates efficiencies through current technologies, building tools to cross-utilize Team needs

Supply Chain Optimization:

* Applies knowledge to consistently optimize business processes and Supply Chain systems
* Uses understanding and knowledge of organization, value chain, process and synergies to complete tasks
* Collaborates with other departments and work groups to understand requirements and gain efficiencies

General Analysis:

* Evaluates pros and cons of different solution options and takes options to more senior Team Members and/ or Leader
* Draws logical conclusions and/or makes accurate predictions based on knowledge and experience, with some guidance from others
* Clearly communicates the issues and trends to Team and Supervisor

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
* Must be at least 18 years of age.
* Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:

* Four-year undergraduate degree required; OR can substitute five years of Supply Chain Management experience for degree
* Degree in business administration; supply chain management; aviation logistics; finance; accounting; industrial engineering/distribution; economics; mechanical, electrical, chemical, or aerospace engineering; or degrees in similar disciplines preferred
* MBA or MS in above disciplines preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE:

* Two years of experience in professional environment, such as supply chain, finance, accounting, or engineering required
* Experience in vendor and supplier relationship management preferred
* Experience in airline or aviation industries preferred
* Experience working with OEMs (original equipment manufacturer) and aftermarket parts, equipment, maintenance services, or components preferred

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:

* Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP), Certified Professional Purchasing Manager (CPPM), Certified Green Purchasing Professional (CGPP), Certified Professional in Distribution and Warehousing (CPDW), Certificate in Procurement and Supply Operations (CPSO), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or other equivalent Supply Chain Management certification preferred
* Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
* Lean-Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
* A&P license preferred

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

* Ability to perform work duties from desk/office work area for extended periods of time

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE/WORK STYLE:

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

* Working experience in Tableau and/or Alteryx preferred
* Working knowledge of Ariba and SAP preferred
* Must possess a positive attitude and collaborative ability
* Proficient analytical skills required
* Skilled in performing detailed analysis, interpreting results, and providing recommendations
* Must be skilled in developing and delivering presentations to Senior-level Management and working collaboratively in all respects
* Must possess the ability to utilize web-based sourcing applications to facilitate RFIs, RFQs and RFPs
* Expert knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables) and PowerPoint and data manipulation skills required
* Must have proven ability to execute and conduct analysis, as well as synthesize information by working in a highly collaborative environment
* Must have the ability to properly manage highly sensitive and confidential information
* Must demonstrate the highest level of ethics and integrity in all supplier relations

* Attentively listens to others and asks questions for clarification and to ensure understanding
* Prepares clear, concise, and technically accurate messages and requests

* Supports and provides help to other Team Members to ensure accuracy and completeness of tasks

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

* Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information
* Ability to work flexible hours to successfully meet deadlines; extended work hours may be required
* Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport
* Possible travel domestically and/or internationally 10-15%
