Job Description

MAG Aerospace is seeking a King Air 350 Lead Pilot. The King Air 350 Lead Pilot is the Primary supervisor of all OCONUS King Air 350 pilots at field site. In the case of mixed platform field site, one Lead Pilot will be assigned, and one senior instructor pilot per platform will report to site Lead Pilot.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of flight crew personnel status to include the following: currencies, training, proficiency, upgrades (PIC, instructor, maintenance test pilot, etc.)

All currencies and training are to be verified and coordinated with the FOM and/or Operations Supervisor as required

Update pilot training folders and documentation as required in OCONUS training program

As needed, plan, schedule, and direct familiarization flights, site-specific training, recurrent checks, proficiency checks, spot evaluations, and any other flight crew activities

Recommend qualified/unqualified for all OCONUS pilots on information from instructor pilots or individual pilot feedback and performance

Supervisor site-specific training and qualifications through development or implementation of a Standards and Evaluations program, on direction from MAG HQ Chief Pilot

Approve timesheets and expense reports of assigned OCONUS pilots

Perform verbal and written counseling actions on assigned OCONUS pilots

Record action in personnel log/files. Perform corrective and ongoing training as needed on assigned OCONUS pilots

Report unsafe actions related to pilots, other aircrew, and flight/ground operations as needed to site management

Refer assigned pilots to Operations Supervisor or Site Manager for disciplinary actions above written counseling

Perform the duties of the FOM in their absence

Supervise all MAG pilot employees in administrative, payroll, expense, and company-specific policies and procedures

Approve timesheets for subordinate MAG pilot’s (and as backup supervisor in DELTEK)

Supervisor-level responsibility for pilot training, policy enforcement, and communication of MAG-specific policies, procedures, and regulations

Job Requirements

Required Skills: (skills a candidate MUST have to be considered for a position)

Must be qualified in, mission, type, design, and if appropriate series of aircraft.

Must have not less than 1000 hours documented Pilot-in-Command time.

Pilot-in-Command time for other aircraft must include 300 hours in similar aircraft type.

Must possess a current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.

Must possess a current FAA Commercial Pilot or Airline Transportation Pilot license.

Must be able to meet all CRC deployment and medical requirements.

Preferred Skills: (skills that are not necessary but will make a candidate more qualified for the position)

Former US military or government law enforcement pilot.

US military trained Fixed Wing Instructor Pilot, Maintenance Pilot, or Instrument Examiner.

Prior overseas rotation experience, particularly in USCENTCOM area of operations.

Radio Telephone Operators Permit.

Experience supporting USSOCOM in global operations.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and seven to nine years of related experience.

Multiple OCONUS locations.

Possibly austere and primitive location(s).

Security Clearance:

Must possess an active Secret security/TS preferred.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

Candidates hired for this position will be subject to a post offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical assessment.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must possess a valid passport with at least six months remaining prior to expiration.

All candidates must be able to meet the requirements of all US Combatant Commands’ entry requirements.

When evaluating the flight time of applicants meeting the basic qualifications, consideration will be given to, among other things, quality, quantity, currency, and verification of training; complexity of aircraft flown; types of flight

operations; and hours flown as PIC in turbine powered aircraft.
