This position can be based out of the following Moog sites: East Aurora NY, Torrance CA, Mountain View CA, Chatsworth CA, Tempe AZ, Northbrook IL.

Moog, a manufacturer of highly precise motion control systems, has grown steadily over the years both organically as well as through acquisition and is now a two and a half billion dollar, complex company with 14,000 employees globally at over 100 sites.

Moog’s Aerospace and Defense (A&D) operating groups are collaborating on a global Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) program. This multi-year journey will consist of numerous projects focused on a global enterprise wide re-implementation of our PLM solution, the Siemens Teamcenter system. We are looking for people to identify, evaluate and document requirements for business process change, ensure these requirements are translated into effective solutions, and provide process support to PLM users throughout the business.

You’ll be part of a technically challenging, global implementation of Teamcenter, which will interface with ERP and other systems. You’ll have a direct influence on the processes and technology your engineering and other business colleagues will use to design, build and maintain Moog’s world class products.

You’ll be expected to take on the following …

*

Documentation of process and data requirements in support of PLM initiatives

*

Under the direction of the PLM Process Manager, evaluation of business objectives that require new or enhanced processes or technology solutions

*

Provision of analytical support to PLM system users to both determine specific problem areas and conduct research for the identification, evaluation and implementation of possible solutions

*

Serve as liaison between the program’s technical personnel and the engineering departments and other users of the PLM system

*

Lead the user preparation and participation in requirements-gathering workshops including business goals, processes, decision criteria, and end user requirements

*

Provide process expertise and support to engineering and other business functions

*

Work in collaboration with the Technical Design Lead and Project Manager to help guide stakeholders to a solution that will meet the requirements while aiming to stay within the boundaries of the project timeline, budget and technical solution complexity

*

Contribute to the development of, and adherence to, Moog standards of structured processes necessary for the successful design, development, testing and deployment of systems

To be considered for this position you’ll need the following...

*

A four year Bachelor degree in a technical discipline (Engineering preferred)

*

A minimum of eight years of progressive experience in product design, requirements management, and/or business analysis

*

Proven track record as a PLM process analyst within a global engineering and manufacturing organization

*

Significant experience participating on projects that encompass both business and technical change

*

Demonstrable knowledge and experience of engineering processes

*

Significant experience working with CAD and CAE software tools

*

Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with the ability to listen, question and understand end users’ needs

*

U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status

Experience working in the field of engineering within a manufacturing industry

*

Demonstrable experience with model-based design (MBD)

*

Proven knowledge and experience working with information technology

*

Work experience gained within Siemens Teamcenter and NX, ANSYS, Nastran, and other engineering software applications

*

Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certificate or Lean Certification
