* Provide technical team leadership to other electronic engineers and project team members focused on developing and designing electronic circuit board assemblies
* Design and develop electronic circuit board assembly controls for embedded HVAC and refrigeration products from concept through production
* Design responsibilities include development and analysis of: analog, digital and power circuits including 12-24 bits ADCs, 8/16/32bit µPs and µCs, displays, sensors, electromechanical power switches, AC/DC, linear and switching power supplies
* Create documentation including technical requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, qualification test plans, reports and product change notices.
* Generate schematics and support PCB layout designers
* Support current production designs including quality improvements, cost reduction, component obsolescence and failure analysis.
* Evaluate and approve electronic components to meet requirements for availability, performance and cost
* Evaluate failures to determine root cause and corrective actions
* Participate/lead electronic hardware design reviews
* Interface with team members, customers, and suppliers to move designs to production
* Interface and support validation, verification and manufacturing engineers and technicians with product and manufacturing testing.
* Apply knowledge of DOE, FMEA, tolerance analysis, simulation and statistical methods to improve robustness and quality of electronic designs

Education:

* BA/BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 6 to 10 plus years of related work experience
* MA/MS degree in Engineering with 4 plus years of related work experience

Qualifications:

* Five or more years experience in the design of high volume (>10K/yr) analog and digital embedded instrumentation/controls for resale within an industrial market is required.
* Experience in technical leadership including guiding junior engineers on technical projects, leading technical peer to peer efforts and supporting team members on executing projects
* Experience in developing and testing embedded electronic circuit board assemblies and components for new products from concept through to production.
* Experience creating schematics, supporting PCB layout, circuit simulation and a general knowledge of embedded software coding for microcontrollers.
* Knowledge of FMEA and electrical stress analysis calculations / process, qualification of electronic controls for EMI and EMC and PCB layout techniques for EMI and EMC.
* Strong background experiences in root cause / troubleshooting electronic assemblies.
* Familiarity with Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning systems highly desirable
