We are looking for a Software Engineer in our Golden, CO location which is part of Moog’s Advanced Programs (AP)-West business unit within Moog’s Space and Defense Group. We specialize in passive and active vibration suppression/load alleviation products and services, precision motion control, specialized test services, motion simulation systems, specialized test structures, spacecraft sub-systems, spacecraft and payload structure and propulsive accommodations.

The position will be a member of a team responsible for laying out flight software development plans and active motion control system product development. You’ll support the embedded software development on the current and future Orbital Maneuvering Vehicle (OMV) programs and within the active systems motion control groups within Moog at multiple sites.

Here’s what you can expect as a Software Engineer at Moog AP-West…

* Developing software coding in C++ environment.

* Diagnosis and testing of software and conducting tests in the lab on hardware.

* Supporting the plans for small launch vehicles in collaborative team driven to improve processes.

* Perform software development and embedded programming in support of both real-time operating system precision motion control system development, qualification testing and in situ monitoring for applications such as:

* Spacecraft attitude determination control systems (ADCS)

* Flight avionics in support of Moog SAIS Orbital Maneuvering Vehicle

* Hexapod positioning systems

* Precision Ground Test Equipment

* Specify and integrate COTS computing and analog/digital/IO hardware

* Support electromechanical system integration, diagnostic, and qualification testing in the engineering laboratory and cleanroom environments

* Develop Graphical User Interfaces and data logging functions as necessary

You’ll need…

* Minimum of Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical or Computer Science Engineering.

* 1-5 years of experience in software coding in C, C++, VxWorks, Lynx Real-time control systems.

* Ability to work with multi-disciplines across multiple sites to meet specific performance and cost objectives. Background in Space Craft and additive motion is ideal.
