We are currently searching for a Senior Systems Engineer – Cargo / Transport Systems to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA (1000). Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to perform platform level avionics systems engineering as a member of a multidisciplinary project team.

The ideal candidate will perform tasks for the Flight2 Avionics system to be installed on C-130 and AWACS aircraft types.

Job Responsibilities

* Responsible for cost, schedule and technical system performance throughout development.

* Determine system requirements; allocates requirements to subsystems and functions; develops system design documentation, test requirements and procedures.

* Conduct system level testing in laboratory and aircraft ground and flight environments.

* Lead system engineering project team to accomplish the above.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline.

* Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a US Government security clearance.

* Experience with systems engineering principles.

* Experience with latest systems engineering design and documentation software tools, eg, DOORS, JIRA.

* Experience with Flight2 / CAAS avionics platforms.

Key skills for success:

* Excellent technical writing and public speaking skills.

Preferred qualifications:

* Knowledge of avionic systems architectures and functions.

* Aviation-related experience.
