Job Description:

The successful candidate will perform a variety of complex system engineering tasks that include, design, development, integration, and/or testing of an aerial systems. The successful candidate will participate as a team member and/or lead on project teams that oversee configuration Management sensor integration, software integration, and reliability testing. The qualified candidate will be capable of system conceptualization, system level requirements definition and system test and evaluation.

Configuration Management (CM)

Reviews technical data package (TDP) elements for accuracy; such as: drawings, ICD’s, manuals etc.. Review, comments ECPs.

Supports CM by conducting physical configuration audits (PCA’s),FCA’s and documenting results.

Manages failure resolution of hardware and software issues by obtaining Government evaluation of issue priority, coordinating status updates from Government and Contractor.

Reliability:

Supports Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) by reconciling with maintenance reporting and ensuring the root cause analysis candidates are identified and analyses are effectively conducted by Contractor.

Ensures the System Reliability Model (SRM) utilizes relevant data by reconciling with maintenance reporting, verifying failure rates and Mean Time Between Failure.

Evaluates and conducts Reliability Growth Reporting.

Evaluates the following analyses to ensure accurately maintained:

1.

Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)

2.

Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)

3.

Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)

Obsolescence Management:

Serves as the primary action officer for obsolescence management between the PD ARL Team, other Government Offices (e.g. PMA-290, PdM MARSS, PdM EO/IR etc.).

Risk Management:

Serves as the primary action officer for ARL-E risk management activities.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

A Masters Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience plus 8 years of applicable progressively complex systems design experience, including hardware/software integration of complex systems is required.

Must have Top Secret/SCI Clearance.

Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

Must have excellent technical management and communication required to oversee execution and technical accuracy.

Must be able to coordinate with the multiple contractors and Government organizations on technical solutions.

Must have an understanding of the Army Airworthiness Release process and system changes that could impact an AWR.
