Senior Software Developer

Boeing Intelligence & Analytics (BI&A) is seeking a hardworking, dedicated Software Developer to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting our national cyber infrastructure. The team is responsible for creating and maintaining capabilities that are used across the enterprise and is currently in need of top-notch developers to support this mission-critical application. Responsibilities include the development of new components/capabilities to support mission-based systems and future requirements. In addition to new development, the team also supports existing capabilities across the enterprise to include the troubleshooting of fielded systems in operational environments.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

The selected individual will be responsible for working in a team environment, developing state-of-the-art solutions to complex, timely, news worthy operations. The applicant must demonstrate an ability to solve complex problems using whatever tools and practices that are best suited for the specific challenge presented. The team has tasks that require group effort as well as tasks that are more individual oriented. On a typical day the selected candidate will do some of the following: Work deep within the Linux kernel using tools like IDA Pro, debuggers, and in-target probes to research the behavior of executable modules
Analyze software and system firmware using reverse engineering techniques to understand any potential security vulnerabilities
Work closely with teammates who value innovation and execution
Share knowledge by clearly articulating ideas through papers and presentations to technical staff, management and Government decision makers

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Strong background in Linux-based software development
C/C++
Python
Shell scripting, such as Bash
Reverse Engineering tools, such as IDA Pro/Hex-Rays and/or Ghidra
make and autotools
Current IDE such as Eclipse, InteliJ, NetBeans, Jbuilder, etc.
Familiarity with tailored Agile development concepts and practices
Continuous Integration tools/ideology, such as Jenkins and GitLab CI
Source code management, such as Git or SVN

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with 14 years of Software Engineering experience.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE (although NOT required): Development of collection systems and components within the IC
Satellite Communications
RF concepts and understanding
SDR Frameworks (REDHAWK, GNU Radio)
Reverse Engineering skills and experience
Networking/Protocol Analysis, such as TCP Dump and/or Wireshark
