Senior Project Engineer, Propulsion and Fluid Controls - (190363)

Description

Moog Inc, was founded in 1951 when Bill Moog had one product and a vision of company culture so strong that it became the foundation of the company that we are today. We operate within a culture of trust and mutual respect, allowing our engineers to collaborate and produce cutting edge technology, as well as aiding our business in the ability to share goals and achieve them together. Our lines of precision motion control technology can be seen at the forefront of military and commercial aircraft markets, space exploration, and oil and gas markets to name a few.

Our Space and Defense group in East Aurora, NY is hiring for a Senior Project Engineer, Propulsion and Fluid Control.

Moog Space and Defense Group is seeing sustainable growth across many of our business segments. This growth is creating needs for Project Engineers to lead our technical teams in the design, development and verification of new products to meet our demanding customer requirements. Products that we are developing include fluid control devices for missile defense thrusters, strategic missile engines, launch vehicle engines, spacecraft thrusters, manned space environmental control and life support systems.

The engineers in the propulsion and fluid controls team are passionate about space exploration, the strategic defense of our nation and are excited to be working in this market. They think rocket propulsion and advanced fluid control are cool (or hot depending on the application). They are always thinking of ways to solve our customer’s tough technical, schedule or cost problems. If you see the world the same way, please consider joining our team.

The Senior Project Engineer is a primary motivator and contributor to the analysis, conceptual design, development, and testing of complex control hardware used on military, commercial and NASA vehicles and equipment.

As a Senior Project Engineer in the Propulsion and Fluid Controls Group, you can expect to…

*

Develop new product requirements through consulting with customers and sales personnel.

*

*

When applicable supervise subordinate engineers and project/product engineering technicians

A successful candidate will…

* BS Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering, with a preference for a MS Degree in Engineering.

* Demonstrated understanding achieved through experience in the design, analysis, development and production of complex electromechanical hardware
