Skyscanner is a leading global travel search site and app, a place where people are inspired to plan and book direct from millions of travel options at the best prices. We employ over 1000 staff across 11 offices globally, and, having reached market leader status, we were recently acquired by Chinese online travel company Ctrip in a deal valued at £1.4bn. While we remain operationally independent, our acquisition by Ctrip allows us to take the business to the next level of accelerated global growth. It’s a hugely exciting time for Skyscanner and the over 80m people who use us every month. We are unbiased and free, and our secret is in our unique proprietary technology that connects people directly to everything the travel industry has to offer.

Our vision is to be the most trusted and most used online travel brand in the world.

People love travel, but hate travelling. Travel is one of the great joys in life, yet online travel is fundamentally broken. We are here to fix it, with world-class software, and deep empathy for our travellers. At Skyscanner we are dedicated to solving the travel needs of our friends, family, and the world. Our traveller-first approach and award-winning apps and service have made us the #1 independent travel brand worldwide, with over 80 million monthly users across more than 50 countries.

We hire the best, then get out of their way.

Our 70+ Product Managers come from varied backgrounds and are builders who love to create things and change the world through technology. They are skilled at the Why, the How and the What of making and iterating products to find market-fit. They support each other and help each other grow. They are not purely ‘organizers’, ‘sellers’ or ‘explorers’, though they are versed in all three dimensions. They are multi-faceted entrepreneurs who know how to generate insights, set direction, and get things done in tech & business.

We’re looking for experienced Product Managers who have delivered significant results—launching new features, delivering performance step improvements, and challenging themselves and others to improve their skills. Naturally data-driven, they nevertheless cut through complexity to identify high impact opportunities and simple solutions. As team leaders, they act decisively on these insights and collaborate with colleagues in ways which inspire and motivate. Above all, they are in touch with the end user, working constantly to understand their pain-points and exceed their expectations.

You’ll be hands-on, detail oriented, analytically driven SEO Product Manager. Search engine optimisation is a key channel for Skyscanner, which gives you a great deal of responsibility and influence in the team. We are looking for an expert, an analytical product manager who is passionate about using data to invent new solutions to complex problems. The person in this role will have the ability to initiate impactful changes daily by working across all product teams, and have a great deal of influence in the wider marketing org. The ability to clearly prioritise and implement a technical SEO roadmap, while thinking strategically about the future of the channel will be key in this role. You will be continually championing SEO best practices and reporting on successes and failures of the channel, whilst bringing ideas, training, and modern SEO knowledge to the team and the wider organisation.

Qualifications

* A minimum of 5+ years of experience as a product manager with at least 3 of those working in the SEO space

* Experience driving SEO improvements using data driven decision making

* Experience making hard, data-driven decisions (incl. A/B testing, User Testing, Analytics, Market Research, Competitor Analysis, Defining Metrics and KPIs).

* Experience working on a modern marketing SEO technology stack and a strong familiarity with Google Products, SEO tooling and reporting technologies.

* Passionate about developing long-term SEO strategy with a strong focus on mobile web

* Detail oriented when preparing regular & ad hoc reporting on SEO performance

* Demonstrated track record of cultivating strong working relationships and driving collaboration across multiple technical and global operational teams.

* A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – though we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

* A passion for travel.
