Purpose:

The position is responsible for delivering a compliant and effective Maintenance Program, correctly setup within in the Cathay Pacific (CX) M&E system for all CX, Cathay Dragon (KA) and AHK fleets. The job holder is to co-ordinate and project manage, amongst various Engineering stakeholders, to ensure business readiness and timely incorporation of new and revised Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) maintenance documents (eg. MPD/MRB, ALI etc) into the Approved Maintenance Schedule. The job holder needs to deliver cost efficient maintenance packaging that is aligned to the Maintenance Philosophy, whilst retaining maximum value to CX, in cost, aircraft stability and availability.

Key responsibilities:

* Create, maintain and publish of the Approved Maintenance Schedule (AMS).

* Manage and Chair Cathay Pacific (CX) AMS meetings – internal / external (AMS).

* Review and evaluate all proposed changes from OEM/ Authorities for AMS related items. Liaise with TS specialists for further evaluation as necessary.

* Review the effectiveness of maintenance programme.

* Attend MWG / ISC and other external working groups as required.

* Perform project management of regular NRC reviews and task escalation projects.

* Ensure the maintenance requirement is set up accurately and to the intent of the requirement in the CX M&E system.

* Monitor BOM implementation procedures in UM to ensure the BOM accuracy target is met.

* Liaise with stakeholder to develop effective implementation plan and maintenance philosophy to incorporate maintenance requirement.

* Perform Lesser Check Sheet Implementation – Review and Revision.

* Define relevant CADS Requirement for applicable AMS tasks.

* Conduct timely AD evaluation and feedback accurate information in AD assessment process to ensure AD compliance.

* Perform AMS Tasks Repackaging – initiate and maintain the Phased Service Checks for effective implementation of maintenance.

* Maintain and keep Planned Maintenance Ultramain (UM) standard practice up to date to reflect the team operational requirement.

* Support Lead Engineer on external or internal Audit(s).

* Deputise Lead Engineer when he/ she is absence.

Requirements:

* Minimum 6.5 years experience in Aviation Engineering role, preferably in maintenance programme management or planning aspects.

* Degree in Engineering or aerospace discipline (Other compatible qualification or experience may be considered).

* Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance planning.

* Good understanding of the principles and sources of maintenance requirements and the Approved Maintenance Schedule.

* Strong planning and organising skills.

* Good interpersonal skill, able to collaborate with internal and external partners.

* Good knowledge of Cathay Pacific (CX) maintenance and engineering systems preferable.

* Able to lead a small team of engineers and technical assistants to handle small projects.
