Our Commercial Insight Team are at the forefront of defining the wider business’s future course. We’re implementing new technologies and curating new perspectives which inform the business and allow it to assess performance and priorities in groundbreaking ways.

As part of the Commercial Insight team you will be responsible for projects that influence strategy, decision-making and performance by providing accessible insight based on internal, external and macro indicators & intelligence sources.


Day to day

You will develop and deliver dynamic dashboards and reports at a network, territory, route, and customer level for all performance metrics: including but not limited to revenue, profit, market share, and net promoter score.

Through extracting, manipulating and analysing data you will provide actionable recommendations on route, customer and distribution strategies to maximise revenue performance.

Run our Customer Survey programme, disseminating insight in customer satisfaction to influence and challenge our customer proposition.
You will present and influence at all levels, including to the senior management team.
Responsible for delivery and communication of the Cargo annual revenue budget as well as short-term forecasting (weekly, monthly) of expected cargo performance at route, territory and regional levels.
You will set targets and provide governance for internal and external incentive programmes to maximise and grow revenue and customer loyalty. You will also provide reporting and forecasting of incentive agreements to ensure relationship owners are clearly informed of any predicted or actual deviation from target.
Curate data sources to provide more efficient, up to date, relevant and accessible information to the business, including use of state of the art visualisation tools.
Work cross functionally with the Cargo division (including Sales, Digital, Revenue Management and Finance) to solve complex problems that will guide and improve tactical and strategic decision-making.


About you

Do you have experience in analytics or budgeting and forecasting whilst being educated to degree level, or experience in a related discipline? Are you able to interpret, manipulate and present significant volumes of data, showing experience of communicating complex messages to a variety of audiences? Have you got experience using analytical, statistical and data visualization software? Tableau and Alteryx are favourable, as is experience of programming language (particularly SQL). Are you a creative problem solver with the ability to use organisational skills to prioritise and multi-task in a dynamic, fast paced environment?
