About The Job

This job is a member of the Information Technology Team, within the Information Technology Division. This position will be responsible for the identification, documentation, management and communication of scope and requirements for multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert, generate and capture requirements, track and resolve project issues, track project financials and create and manage user stories

Specifically, you’ll do the following:

* ​Gathers, generates, and documents detailed requirements through interviewing and facilitation

* Translates business functional and non-functional requirements into the appropriate Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Requirements Document (FRD), Process Flow Diagrams, Features, and Business Scenarios and Rally User Stories.

* Participates in the creation of the project artifacts (i.e. Requirements Traceability Matrix, Test Plan, Defect Reporting Matrix) with the Project Manager (PM)

* Identifies detail functional requirements and user story acceptance criteria from the high-level Features provided by the Business Unit (BU)

* Works collaboratively with customer and user groups, technical leads, development resources, engineers and architects and external project teams

* Applies all phases of Project Delivery Methodology Design, Plan, Create and End (DPaCE) Agile activities

* Works with the 3rd Party Vendors (e.g., Sabre, DXC, AOS, etc.) to design and deliver the approved solution

* Tests (Positive, Regression, Negative Impact, and No Harm) all new or enhanced software activations

* Tracks progress and provides project status reports for multiple simultaneous projects according to the information needs of the stakeholders including, at times, executive level staff

* Interacts, as necessary, with management to help set project direction, determine project priorities, and actively support Continuous Improvement initiatives

* Ensures the project team is kept well informed of project changes

* Assists with the creation of project schedules and budgets

* Serves as a lead Business Analyst on projects

* Designs system level components

* Acts as a business subject matter expert in Crew Management Systems

* Assists with training of business operations office staff on use of system, business processes, and procedures

* Provides on-call application support (24 x 7 x 365), as required

* Travels domestically and internationally, as required

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

* ​​​​Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

* 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst

Preferred Qualifications

* ​​​​5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst

* Airline industry, specifically Crew Management Systems

* Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project, Access)

* Familiarity with FOS Crew Management System is preferred

* Experience gathering and documenting complex system requirements, writing technical specifications, developing detailed system diagrams, and authoring meeting minutes

* Experience in analysis techniques, such as requirements gathering and user story development

* Experience delivering in-house and externally-developed applications

* Understanding of failover, disaster recovery and mirroring concepts and experience delivering mission-critical applications in a high-availability environment

* Understand basic Project Management principles and Quality Assurance testing

* Knowledge of SDLC, DPaCE, or Agile methodologies

* Experience with FOS, Rally, Planview, Fieldglass, Quality Assurance Testing Tools, and HP Quality Center (ALM)

* Broad understanding of crew operations or flight operations processes

* Strong organization and planning skills

* Strong analytical, estimating, and problem solving skills

* Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances

* Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices

* Ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups

* Ability to influence through outstanding interpersonal skills, collaboration, and negotiation skills

* Ability to work well within a team environment, as well as independently
