Norwegian Air Shuttle is currently seeking a Senior Base Maintenance Planner.

The Senior Base Maintenance Planners role is to ensure effective and efficient planning, coordination and follow-up of base maintenance checks for all Norwegian subsidiary AOCs. Job description

Coordinate, follow-up and provide supervision of planned base maintenance activities related to the Norwegian aircraft fleet.

• Ensure that all airworthiness activities on the company´s aircraft, components and equipment are planned and ordered to be performed within due time.

• Communicate with contracted MROs to ensure that all maintenance activities are going according to developed maintenance plan.

• Ensure all performed work is updated in our maintenance system (AMOS).

• Responsible for the personnel shift plan and roster within the section, hereunder approval of timesheets, managing holidays, sick leaves etc.

• Act as a special advisor for issues concerning base planning, share experience and mentor the other planners in their work.

• Approve invoices for work ordered by the section.

• Be the subject-matter expert for occurrence report handling related to the base maintenance activities.

• Follow-up of operational targets and KPIs.

• Write and maintain internal Base Planning procedures.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Planning Manager.

Miscellaneous info:

Some travel activity must be expected.

Qualifications

• A degree in Aeronautical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline (minimum formal requirement is B.Sc.).

• Background and technical knowledge on Boeing aircraft is preferred but not a requirement.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within an airline operation or similar technical environment.

• Proficient experience working with AMOS is a benefit. Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

• Preferable knowledge of aviation regulation, especially EASA Part-M and Part-145.

• Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and preferably a Scandinavian language.
