Job Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director (Ground) with a close working relationship with the Engineering Director and Facility Base Managers, the Sales Lead will be responsible for growing MRO and Support Services Sales for the Gama Aviation (Engineering) Ltd network of facilities.

 

The Role:

Sales of:

Base MRO, Line and AOG of Jet and Turbo Prop Aircraft types on the GAEL regulatory approval including:

  • Bombardier Global series
  • Bombardier Challenger 300, 601, 604, 605, 650, 850
  • Hawker 700/800
  • Hawker 750/800XP/850/900XP
  • Hawker 1000
  • Hawker 4000
  • Beech Premier 1
  • Beech 400A/400XP
  • KingAir 90/200/350
  • Citation 560XL/XLS/XLS+
  • Citation 510 Mustang
  • lEmbraer Legacy 135/145

 

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain thorough understanding of MRO and support services offered by Gama Engineering as per above types
  • Build and maintain sales strategy across this remit, predominantly by winning new accounts
  • Engage with marketing department to generate effective and targeted marketing collateral
  • Using network and market intelligence to generate and maintain likely market trends and competitor analysis to support market position strategy
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships whilst being aware of the varying customer cultures
  • Proactively generate leads and sales opportunities
  • Develop sales strategies, closure plan and commercial response to convert these opportunities to revenue to hit target OI number for year
  • Maintain clear and accurate view of sales pipeline using Customer Resource Management tool ‘BASE’
  • Generate forecast statements to reflect outurn of sales by month, quarter and full year
  • Generate win/loss analysis reports to inform future positioning strategy and bid development
  • Be aware of the other services the Gama group of companies offer and identify potential secondary sales opportunities

 

The Person:

Successful candidates must possess the following:

  • A proven track record of successful sales within a Corporate / Business Aviation MRO
  • Broad knowledge of Aviation MRO and Support Services 
  • Be prepared to accept responsibility
  • The ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure
  • The ability to recognise and react to changing priorities
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm and a desire to succeed
  • Numerate with excellent influencing and negotiation skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Customer Relations skills
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Good knowledge and use of IT skills
  • A Personable character
  • Excellent command of the English language, other languages a potential advantage
  • Full driving license
