Revenue Management Architect

SAS Cargo is the leading air cargo carrier to, from and within Scandinavia. We offer freight capacity covering all of Scandinavia, using SAS’s fleet and dedicated truck operations. The Revenue Management – Long Term department currently consists of 7 employees, and we are looking for a new team member to work proactively on driving development and implementation of Revenue Management Systems from a commercial perspective.

The air cargo industry is undergoing fundamental change with digitalization at the core of the strategic agenda. To ensure SAS Cargo is at the forefront of this evolution, we have initiated an ambitious development program to be ready for the changes to come.

As Revenue Management architect you will be reporting to the Manager - Revenue Management – Long Term and play a key role in designing the future SAS Cargo Revenue Management systems and new ways of working within Revenue Management. You will act as a catalyst between Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing/Communication, SAS Cargo IT, Accounting and external system providers for Revenue Management development projects.

Main responsibilities and activities

* Drive development and maintenance of policies, standards and procedures within Revenue Management

* From a commercial view, drive development, implementation and maintenance of relevant Revenue Management Systems

* Plan and execute test and acceptance of new system development

* Support the development and implementation of route and steering strategies

* Train SAS Cargo employees in Revenue Management concepts and system usage

* Represent Revenue Management in Business Intelligence fora and other relevant fora

* Maintain Revenue Management systems

Your background

* Higher education or relevant extensive work experience (HD, Cand.merc or similar)

* Minimum of 5 years experiences from Revenue Management within the transportation/logistics/airline industry or similar

* Lean silver or gold level is an advantage

Key Competences

* Well versed in Revenue Management systems

* Highly proficient in spoken and written English and a good understanding of Scandinavian languages

* Strong commercial acumen

* Strong business and analytical skills

* Experience with training and coaching

* Experience with project management and coordinating team work

* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

* Advanced level Excel proficiency

* Being able to work in detail and with a holistic view

* Being well versed about the air cargo Industry is a plus but not a requirement

A normal flight to New York for example, can hold between 18-22 tons of cargo. Depending on weather, wind and number of passengers onboard.
