Join us as a Reliability Engineer and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in New York City, NY.

As a Reliability Engineer, you will support the running maintenance on the R142 fleet and provide guidance to NYCT on maintenance instruction revisions in their Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will assist in planning unscheduled repairs on subway cars including Mechanical repairs, Electrical repairs, highly complex technical and troubleshooting repairs on cars. You will lead the review and modification of periodic maintenance instructions in conjunction with NYCT and Bombardier Transportation (BT) project leadership to improve the fleet reliability initiatives. You will develop a working relationship with the customer as an employee and representative of Bombardier Transportation. You will verify that all defects, tasks, and incidents had been reported and documented in (CMMS) for compliance, issue tracking, closure. You will extract all relevant maintenance data from R142 maintenance activities to support the construction of a larger technical database. You will utilize extracted data to guide maintenance teams on root cause identification and identification of emerging maintenance trends.

Your responsibilities will include:

Support Running Maintenance Teams and ensure that updated maintenance instructions are created and utilized to improve troubleshooting knowledge;

Liaise with BT Engineering and NYCT Engineering to keep maintenance instructions and associated data current;

Ensure technical documentation for NYCT is sufficient and lead the improvement process with internal stakeholders to keep records current;

Support the BT Team and occasionally lead the customer discussions around work procedure issues and proposed resolutions;

Coordinate with Maintenance and Reliability Specialist to compile failure reports and analysis for NYCT.

Qualifications

Key requirements:

- Engineering Bachelor´s degree;

- Minimum three (3) years of experience in Electrical Engineering;

- Computer skills required as Maximo and Office software;

- Strong analytical skills;

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
