Kaman Composites Vermont located in Bennington VT is seeking an individual to join our growing team as a Quality Technician.

This is a 3rd shift opportunity. The selected individual will have responsibilities related to visual and mechanical dimensional inspections of complex parts and subassemblies for verification of conformance. The individual will use precision measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Romer Arm and Faro Arm to verify dimensions to blueprints, engineering drawings and job travelers. Will identify and report all non-conforming parts for corrective action.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Inspection- Complete first article inspections, in-process inspections and final inspection of parts and assemblies against blueprints, engineering drawings and job travelers to ensure that our products meet customer and regulatory requirements. Dimensional inspection will require use of precision measuring equipment including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, height gages, CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), Romer Arm and Faro Arm.
2. Non-Conforming Product-Segregates and reports all non-conforming material and parts for prompt corrective action.
3. Report of Findings-Completes data entry, prepares reports and issues emails as required using Epicor operating software and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel) to support inspection activities.
4. Completes other tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a High School diploma.

Experience Required: One year of experience in Quality Inspection in a Manufacturing Environment preferred.

Knowledge: Use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, faro arm and other inspection equipment. Interpretation of blueprints, engineering drawings, job travelers and manufacturing instructions and use of Microsoft Office applications- Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience in Epicor operating software a plus.
