Project Planning and Cost control for Government Programs through training and mentoring assist with Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs for assigned projects, to include Cost Plus, T&M, and Fixed Price contract types. Develops and provides project level variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and estimates to/at complete. Reviews project costs incurred by labor category, calculates future costs based on labor estimates, material price increases, subcontractor expenses, wage rates and risk analysis.

Aptitude to developed core competencies through formal training and personal initiative by analyzing possible solutions using standard practices and procedures while developing project cost control skills. Develop the ability to review contract requirements and assist with the development and delivery of all customer financial reports and on-contract pricings of work scope. Tracks program funding requirements as compared to projected expenditures.

Tracks subcontractor cost and fee’s, assists in the purchase requisition process, and strives for individual responsibility for all program level subcontractor accruals. Helps generate Revenue and Operating Income estimates for the current year, the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and the Strategic Plan (STRAP) for all assigned projects. Monitors cash metrics for all assigned programs (Billing Verification, unbilled, past due, and AR).

Qualifications

Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs needed within an organization. Develops and provides project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports. Reviews project costs incurred by category, calculates future costs based on labor productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates and risk analysis.

Under direct supervision, performs routine assignments as an entry level professional in project controls. Develops core competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems.

Typically requires an undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
