(This job is specific to Construction Services). Performs all aspects of expediting for small to medium-sized projects. Coordinates expediting activities, reports on and takes appropriate action on supplier slippages which have an impact on the project schedule, reviews purchase orders for expediting requirements, seeks solutions to technical problems, reviews reports to clarify misunderstandings, monitors client changes, informs superiors of delivery status, and may provide technical guidance to lower level expediters. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in a Procurement related subject area, Business Administration or similar discipline and 2 years of experience in Expediting.

Roles:

Reports to area Mechanical Maintenance supervisor

Responsible for ensuring repair components are delivered and staged for planned work.

Objective is to increase productivity of craftsmen by providing components/ material required to perform maintenance task.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure components are delivered and staged for planned work.

· Ensure components are protected in their staging area.

· Communicate staging with area maintenance supervision/lead.

· Perform visual inspection and ensure delivered components are fit for service.

· Organize and maintain housekeeping in assigned area drop zones.

· Review weekly schedules and stage components the day before they are needed.

· Review shutdown schedule and ensure shutdown components are staged with sufficient time prior to the first day of execution.

· Expedite components to job site for breakdown or discovery work.

· Transport rebuildable components to shipping staging area or rebuild shop.

· Ensure rebuildable components are properly prepared, labeled and tagged.

· Notify the maintenance MRP team of any rebuildable components staged.

· Issues the pick tickets in SAP for the storeroom to retrieve the stocked components.

· Issues return tickets in SAP for any unused components returned to the storeroom for restock.

· Will maintain inventory spreadsheet of non-stock components.

· Provides feedback to the Maintenance Planning Manager on the procedures and documentation for improvement of the delivery processes.
