Get to know the role

Virgin Australia’s Construction and Delivery team ensure the physical delivery of Virgin Australia’s infrastructure requirements either through VA-funded projects or airport-funded projects.

Due to the significant pipeline of works that the team have coming through, they are currently recruiting for a Project Coordinator to provide support with project planning, tracking and documentation. The role will also be responsible for providing general administrative support to the team as well as:

* Assisting Program and Project Managers to develop, track and update project schedules

* Maintaining project registers and project documentation

* Assisting with the tracking and forecasting of project budgets

* Managing project administration including project team, project meetings, project documents and governance processes

From time to time, this position will have the opportunity to manage the planning and delivery of low to medium-risk small projects.

Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity

What you’ll need:

* Working knowledge of construction management process and methodologies

* Availability to travel interstate to attend meetings and site visits as part of a project team

* Project coordination experience in the construction and/or aviation industry

* Previous experience working as part of a project team

* Demonstrated experience to work in teams with multiple stakeholders towards fixed deadlines

* Demonstrated ability to apply project management techniques in timely manner to achieve project outcomes

* Proficient use of the MS Office suite including MS Project
