Summary Statement:Applies fundamental knowledge of basic principles, theories, concepts and industry practices to the planning, directing and coordination of manufacturing and repair processes.Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:Solves problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures for guidance. Work is closely monitored and the results reviewed for accuracy and adequacy.Provide technical leadership and support to shop floor personnel by resolving issues relating to processes, technical publication interpretation and customer requirements.Review, propose and implement changes to bills-of-materials and planning documents.Develop and implement systems to enable accurate cost analysis, material usage and labor hour requirements for each product line in order to provide data for the RFQ process and BOM development.Review of technical publications for the revision of planning and evaluate in-house capability to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul tasks.Research and gather repair data for products we repair globally. Process Material Master creations, changes and deletions.Researches, creates, and inputs the Engineering data in SAP to drive repairs in the SAP MRO system. Works closely with repair teams in the US, Singapore and Wales.Reviews and evaluates product requests from customer for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, and specifications. Coordinates the design to meet customer requirements and discusses proposal with customer representatives, engineers, and other personnel.Confers with management in planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. May provide tooling specifications and designs as required.Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.Estimates production time, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.Works closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Control, Tooling and Quality to exchange information.Respond to Global Planning Help-Desk ticket. Troubleshoot and correct the issues.Ancillary Job Functions and Responsibilities:This position may provide administrative and technical leadership over other Stakeholders in the department. Perform other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Formal Education, Training, Professional Certification and Work Experience:Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or other appropriate discipline from an accredited four-year college or university and zero to two (0-2) years related experience and/or training. A combination of education and experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.Stakeholder Behavioral Standards:All Stakeholders: Integrity, Teamwork, Communications, Customer Focus, Initiative and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders.Level of Supervision Required:Works under general direction. Receives guidance as to results expected and to resolve complex problems. Exercises latitude in determining activities and approaches within moderate to wide parameters.Standard Job Requirements:* Must be able to arrive at work on time, work on-site, and attend regularly.* Must be able to read and write the English language, perform basic mathematical calculations and learn to interpret and comprehend company policies, procedures, safety instructions, and other like documents used in an aerospace manufacturing environment.* Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel and operate standard office equipment.* Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups.* May perform work of lesser skilled employees.Special Job Requirements:* Must have good technical understanding of the MRO business.* Must be able to read and decipher technical Manuals, blueprints and Illustrated Parts Lists.* Good working knowledge of SAP and related transactions and implications.Special Training:* Safety training applicable to the job and the general work area.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the Stakeholder is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The Stakeholder frequently is required to move from one place to another and reach with hands and arms. The Stakeholder must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. Travel between facilities. Must be able to work in excess of eight (8) hours per day and five (5) days per week, if required. NRD: Must be able to ascend and descend stairs.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the stakeholder is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Mental Requirements:Able to work as a team member, highly organized, work well under stress and handle multiple priorities. Must possess interpersonal and communication skills to interact with other people inside and outside the company.
