Your responsibilities will include:

Perform procurement and purchasing functions for military and commercial aircrafts, logistics support & analysis, general administration or other miscellaneous activities.

You will:

Investigate and provide adequate sourcing solutions for material and services in the timeframe supporting maintenance and repairs projects.

* Ensure that parts, goods and services are sourced and ordered from the best supplier available in terms of lead time costs, and specifications highlighted in the requirements.
* Coordinate sourcing and procurement efforts with team members and other departments.
* Raise and process timely and accurate Quotes and Purchase Orders.
* Comply with ITAR requirements and regulations for importation/exportation.
* Maintain and update relevant systems in relation to procure to pay process, delivery dates, prioritisation levels, returns etc.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure performance, resolve issues, and provide reporting as required.
* Provide support to ensure on time delivery for internal and external orders is met.
* Apply principles outlined in the quality policy to preserve the company commitment to provide the highest quality service and product possible.
* Research, compile, review, analyse, and process data, and develop appropriate recommendations for business approval.

About you:

To be successful you must have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a diverse, multi-disciplined team. You must have a track record of procurement work and a proven ability to manage workload and work autonomously.

This Procurement Officer role would suit a highly motivated, customer-focused, professional who has experience in providing a high level of Procurement support to managers and other staff members in line with established work procedures and guidelines.

Qualifications - essential
* Tertiary qualifications (Certificate III or above) in a relevant discipline (Procurement etc.) from a recognised institution and/or equivalent relevant experience (preferably within the defence industry)
Experience & competencies - essential
* Significant experience within a procurement and/or sales position
* Computer literacy with an ability to interpret reports and information
* Skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages & applications
