Job Summary

The Program Manager provides significant leadership and project management expertise for the delivery of Collins Aerospace Global Airports’ biometrics projects. This person will be responsible for managing all global biometrics projects, to deliver projects on time, within budget and in a manner that enhances Collins Aerospace’ reputation to encourage additional business from customers. The Program Manager will manage all the required efforts associated with program management, and will be required to manage one or more projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities

* Leading a diverse team of matrixed people to deliver biometric projects exceeding customer expectations and to guarantee a successful project for both for Collins Aerospace and the Customer

* Helping to specify, order and then monitor the purchasing procedure to acquire equipment, and then authorize payment to suppliers, and/or executing warranties of the products

* Overseeing onsite installation activities, testing, and management of the interface with the customer throughout

* Guiding the technical team to obtain system acceptance from customer and then handing over the project to customer service staff or site management staff

* Organizing and execute monthly Project Status Reviews and cost analysis

* Maintaining project documentation in accordance with ISO guidelines

* Delegating work to appropriate people, whether they are with Collins Aerospace, the customer, or third parties

* Using project management tools & techniques, such as MS Project, critical path analysis, time recording systems and other systems to manage projects

* Assisting with the negotiation of Terms of Service Agreements with subcontractors

* Applying project management skills and techniques, e.g. matrixed team leading, multi-tasking and financial awareness to deliver high quality projects

* Contribute to sales/marketing effort by being alert to new biometrics business opportunities, and assisting with related proposals, customer-facing presentations, and other support of the sales process

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline or in the absence of a degree six years of related experience

* Proven experience as a Project Leader / Program Manager with total work experience exceeding this; ideally in an Airline/Airport environment and/or working with biometrics-related products and projects.

* Advanced Microsoft Project and MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

* Experience in an operational environment

* Experience in Financial Management

* Adaptable to work in an ever changing and demanding operational environment, including coordination with the overall global team

* PMP or Prince2 qualification preferred

* A proven track record of successful project delivery

* Posses demonstrated leadership of functional and project teams

* Ability to meet cost, schedule, budget and operational goals

* Excellent customer oriented attitude

* Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal) and administrative skills

* Strong interpersonal skills
