Cathay Pacific Airways Australia is looking for a motivated and professional Personal Assistant to support our Regional General Manager (RGM) and regional operations out of our Sydney Town office. This 6 month Full time maternity leave contract role will provide local support and coordination of the RGM’s key tasks. This role will also manage and coordinate Sydney Town Office’s business continuity readiness and E&A administration. The Personal Assistant is pivotal in ensuring that the RGM’s office is managed effectively and efficiently so that he can concentrate on performing his high level tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high quality administrative and organisational support

* Liaise regularly with a variety of government and regulatory bodies, including the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and Airport authorities in regard to CX Australia scheduling and airline operation policies

* Manage the RGM’s diaries

* Prepare and file documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations for the RGM and senior executives

* Manage and submit the RGM’s expenses

* Provide event coordination for CX staff functions and meetings

* Regional office support, including E&A administration, and Sydney Town office BCP readiness

* Arrange duty and leisure travel for RGM and family

* Arrange concessional travel requests for interline employees

Requirements:

* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role

* A tertiary qualification or a related business discipline is an advantage

* Proven ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.

* IT literate and fully conversant in the use of Microsoft applications; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer

* Demonstrable experience in successful relationship building

* Attention to detail and high level accuracy is imperative

* Flexibility in adapting to different management styles

* Sensitive to the requirements of different cultures and personalities

* Ability to consistently communicate clearly and effectively

* Proven ability to operate effectively with limited information and working independently without supervision
