New: Rate of Pay for our First Officers starts at $58.33 per hour, at a 72 hour monthly minimum guarantee.

Job Description:

Have you ever dreamed about coming to Alaska? How about working, living, and exploring all that Alaska has to offer. PenAir is hiring First Officers for our Saab 2000.

Do you want to take your career in aviation to the next level? Do you have your ATP with 121 experience (preferred) or 135 experience and about 1500 flight hours? We are Part 121 Regional Passenger Carrier that guarantees you a minimum of 72 hours a month. Upgrade time is only eighteen to twenty four months possibly less depending on experience.

We offer:

* First Officer starting pay at $58.33 per hour;

* $10,000 hiring bonus or $5,000 hiring bonus + ATP-CTP course paid for those not already ATP certified (includes travel and hotel);

* $15,000 yearly retention bonus to qualifying First Officers;

Qualifications:

* Must have the necessary hours and qualifications under the ATP requirements or the restricted ATP requirements. Must have ATP written completed prior to class;

* Must meet the age requirement for an ATP;

* Current FAA First Class Medical;

* U.S. citizen or able to show proof of right to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship;

* Current valid passport;

* Must have the ability to travel unrestricted in and out of the U.S.;

* Flight time in accordance with all FAA requirements;

* Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to get along with others;

* Able to adapt to performing work according to set procedures;

* Must be team oriented;

* Excellent communication skills and quick and accurate decision making;

* Close attention to detail;

* Ability to work weekends, nights, holidays, and overnight trips (if necessary);

* Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or Customs security badges;

* Ability to learn and work with PEDs;

* Must possess excellent communication skills to include ability to read, speak, and write English;

* Must be able to pass pre-employment fingerprint, background, and drug testing;

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the safe operation of that aircraft.
* Understanding of and compliance with the FAR’s at all times.
* Acts as Second-In-Command of the aircraft and assumes the duties of the Pilot-In-Command should the Captain become incapacitated or unable to perform these duties.
* Coordinate tasks to permit flight fueling, loading, passenger handling, etc. and associated duties to convey passengers in a safe manner in accordance with company policies, and procedures, GOM, CFM, FAR’s, etc.
* Other duties as assigned.
* Pilots are team members both in the cockpit (CRM), and with other operational departments.
* Pilots are expected to present a professional image at all times, including grooming standards and demeanor, as a key representative of the company to both external customers and internal employees.
* Continue to advance your aeronautical decision making for Captain Upgrade.
* Complies with company policies, procedures and safety management system.
