Description

Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft components using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment. Examine and inspect parts for wear, warping, and other defects and disassemble parts for inspection when necessary. Repair, replace and rebuild aircraft structures, components, and parts such as wings and fusel~ge, rigging, and hydraulic units. Modify aircraft structures or components following drawings, engineering orders and technical publications. Must be able to read and interpret detailed aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications. All work must meet strict Federal Aviation Regulations and requirements. Must have mechanical knowledge including the design, use, repair, and maintenance of machines and tools. Must have the knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. Must be able to determine proper equipment and tools needed to perform a task. Must be able to conduct tests and inspections of products and processes in order to determine quality or performance.
