Reporting to the Head, Industry Strategy and Operations, the Operations Manager, BIS acts as a subject matter expert on commercial aviation business intelligence solutions with special focus on Cargo solutions and extended responsibilities in the passenger domain.

The Operations Manager is responsible for articulation and alignment of the BIS portfolio operations, from onboarding to delivery, with a focus on exceptional customer advisory services, training, new products’ definition and enhancements implementation, as well as the Quality Assurance program.

The Operations manager supports commercial activities managed by the product managers, the regional sales force and the central sales team, also leads key cross-division initiatives driven by BIS LOB, as assigned by the Head, Industry Strategy and Operations, BIS.

Responsibilities

* Customer Advisory Services: For Cargo portfolio, manages the entire advisory function to all customers, provides guidance, mentoring and support to the Product Specialists for delivering exceptional customer advisory service; manages the SLAs applicable for service delivery and implements best practice to improve product NPS. Collaborates with the Manager, Operational Excellence for the implementation and maintenance of the E-Service platform. For the passenger portfolio, actively participate and support the entire advisory function to ensure consistency and on-going collaboration cross all BIS products.

* Operational Delivery Excellence: During the current CDD project phase, for the CargoIS portfolio, owns the data production and delivery execution; owns data/technical issues in the products (input, processing, and output); ensures all technical documents are maintained up-to-date, controlled and reviewed; manages the Freight Forwarder master repository and associated processes. Once CargoIS product enters operational phase, this position will remain its supervising and guiding responsibility in collaborates with the Manager, Operational Excellence, BIS, for the SOPs alignment and other initiatives.

* Quality Assurance Program: in collaboration with product managers and other internal/external stakeholders, defines and implements an overarching QA program, to ensure data sources (internal, external), processed and released data meet the highest quality standards of the industry; ensures the business rules and data release policies (DRPs) are executed 100% of the time.

* Product Enhancements: in collaboration with product managers and other internal stakeholders, defines the product enhancement single stream (PESS) to set each product’s enhancements roadmap, secure internal/external resources responsible for implementation, produces BRDs and SOWs, defines and leads UATs, follows up on the planning and delivery of the final product for product manager sign-off; integrates enhancements into operational processes.

* Training: delivers training (Webinars, on-site) and ensures training materials are up to date; leads the implementation of the business intelligence training platform, from scope definition to global roll-out; engages regional sales teams and product managers. Own the project lifecycle.

* Business Development: collaborates with the Regional Sales teams and Product Managers to identify opportunities, generate new revenue; participates in the design of marketing material and external communication.

* Project Management: proposes, supports and actively participates in BIS products development (new platforms, new distribution channels, new products), as well as other BIS initiatives, as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

* University degree (Bachelor or Masters) in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or equivalent degree;
* Minimum 10 years of experience in Aviation industry, preferably in Cargo business management, including planning and execution, project management activities, BI analytics, data quality program and customer advisory roles. Experience also on Passenger side is a strong asset;
* Excellent IT skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite and common BI tools; High-level of data proficiency is a must;
* Passionate about learning and growing others and especially in modern E-Learning domain;
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills: able to identify, analyze and resolve issues with a strong sense of urgency and attention to details;
* Ability to work in an international team environment across a matrix organization; high CQ;
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of additional language(s) would be considered an asset for the role;
* Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
