Job Description

CACI is currently seeking a Network Systems Engineer – Solar Winds for our program located in Alexandria, VA. If you’re looking for a position that will be on the cutting-edge of the moderation of ICE TACCOM networks, CACI would like to speak with you

What You’ll Get to Do:

* Provide design engineering, develop and provide propagation analyses/coverage plots, engineering diagrams, and backbone diagrams.
* Provide systems engineering support for tactical communications networks, including both wireless and cable components.
* Perform requirements assessments, analyze, and evaluate existing and long-term DHS and ICE requirements for secure/private tactical communications networks.
* Research and perform site visits to identify sites to meet ICE’s operational requirements
* Provide architecture engineering and support.
* Assist in the development of interoperability standards for ICE.
* Support the testing, deployment and operation of Over The Air Programming (OTAP) and Global Positioning System (GPS).
* Perform integration of tactical communications equipment, hardware, parts, and accessories to provide fully integrated equipment for use by ICE.
* Perform installation of equipment at field locations
* Perform optimization of each site and of the overall network.
* Provide training to users as needed
* Provide quality assurance (QA) to ensure that all integration, programming, testing, optimization, and training are reviewed and checked.
* Implement a Solar Winds capability within the ICE TACCOM architecture and provide ability for monitoring of all ICE TACCOM networks

More About the Role:

Serve as technical information repository to facilitate the fielding and deployment of advanced technologies, and perform necessary engineering to develop, design, and implement plans for both tactical and strategic tactical communications modernization and upgrades and connectivity to the DHS OneNet program.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

* Ability to Obtain a DHS High Suitability Clearance
* A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field of study with 8 years’ experience in the design and implementation of wireless networks, microwave networks, and P25 network technology
* Experience with Solar Winds specific operations and deployment expertise
* Experience with Propagation analysis drive testing, model tuning, and propagation tools
* RF site evaluation, site candidate evaluation/selection, link budget analysis, coverage and network optimization and zoning support.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Currently possess a Juniper Networks Certification (JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, JNCDA, JNCDS)
