Network System Administrator Jacksonville FL

ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We are looking for a Network System Administrator to support our P-3 ISEO team in Jacksonville, FL. Qualified candidates will need an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher) to be considered. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Network Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining both classified and unclassified Microsoft based LAN’s. Also responsible for maintaining several Linux based systems. Network uptime and maintaining backups is of the upmost importance, as well as reporting data availability and server activity. Hardware and software troubleshooting will be a regular activity, with occasionally building up desktop systems. The Network Systems Administrator must be a jack of all trades and capable of resolving issues in every aspect involved in maintaining the network. Specific responsibilities will include: * Maintain Active Directory domain structure and make changes when needed * Resolve issues that arise in network communications * Communicate efficiently with end users and multiple levels of leadership * Stay efficient and on task with little supervision * Work within guidelines set by Department of Defense Information Assurance manager * Assist Computer Scientist and Software Engineers with industry insight * Maintain inventory of, and track network assets * Assist Information Assurance Manager with patching and vulnerability assessments * Install patches and run vulnerability assessments on Windows and Linux based platforms * Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategy Education and Experience Requirements * BS in Information Systems and 2 years’ experience or * AS/ATA in Information Systems and 3 years’ experience * 8 years related experience in lieu of education * Working knowledge of Windows and Linux based operating systems * Understanding of LAN/WAN architecture * Establish and maintain network security * Minimum of an IAT-I certification in accordance with PBSOW paragraph 3.1.15 Desired Experience * 5-10 years of engineering or network/computer sys admin experience with at least 1-2 years of Information Assurance (IA) experience. * Experience in DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP) or equivalent * Have working knowledge of the Clinger-Cohen Act and all IA implications that must be met * Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) Security Clearance * This position will require U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance.
