Location Profile:
Aerospace Dynamics International, Inc. (ADI) manufactures machined parts and assemblies for the commercial and military aerospace industries. It offers structural components, caps, panels, bulkheads, fittings, longerons, spars, chords, wing ribs, thrust reversers, structural machine parts, manufacturing tooling and stretch form blocks.
ADI was acquired by PCC in April 2014. The company has received significant capital investments since the acquisition and has a highly positive growth trajectory ahead. Comprising seven facilities on its campus in Valencia, CA, ADI has over 700 full-time employees on staff.
Position Summary:
The NC Technician will perform multiple tasks under supervision in a manufacturing environment. Tasks will include up to, and including dismantling of machines and equipment, inspection and detection of wear items, and other malignant problems. Tasks will be assigned in manufacturing areas as well as office areas. This position typically requires 3 years of NC Technician experience.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
*
Technician should have experience with Acromatic 950 controls, Fanuc 15i and 30i controls, Haas controls, and Siemens 840D controls.
*
Technician is expected to be able to troubleshoot to component level.
*
Should be able to dismantle equipment to the origin point of issue.
*
Should be able to inspect and measure parts of equipment to detect wear, misalignment, etc.
*
Must be capable of analyzing the situation before starting the job.
*
Follow safety guidelines at all times.
Required Skills:
*
Should have knowledge on drives, motors, controls, and electrical components.
*
Should have tools needed to perform troubleshooting and diagnosing of issues. (Voltage Meter, Clamp on amp meter, general hand tools, etc.
*
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
*
Working ability with general hand tools.
*
Must have the ability to lift a maximum of 35 lbs. unassisted. Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.
*
Must have independent body mobility to stand, walk, crawl, stoop, bend, push, pull, identify and distinguish colors, operate power tools and machinery.
Required Experience:
*
At least 3 years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
*
At least 3 years of experience in repairing and rebuilding N/C machines and CNC controls and their corresponding systems.
*
Knowledge of electrical motors.
*
Knowledge of basic electrical and laser equipment.
*
Knowledge of mechanical components, and drive systems.
*
Knowledge of machine types and facility equipment.
*
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
*
Experience in the use of all maintenance related tools.
Level of Education:
*
GED or High School diploma is preferred but not required.
