Job Description for MTS III

We are looking for an innovative and passionate software developer who is driven to continuously learning and growing. As a software engineer on the IFE Software Team, you will be joining an experienced and collaborative team, working on a broad range of software applications using a variety of software technologies. The job responsibilities include -

* Work with product owners and lead developers to scope and review requirements

* Develop new features on web tools, support microservices, or provide middleware API services

* Create wireframes, mock-ups, and run usability tests

* Write and perform unit tests

* Support integration

Basic Qualifications and Education:

* A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

* Proficient with objected oriented programming/design, with at least one web backend language (PHP and NodeJS preferred)

* Excellent relational database skills in MySQL and SQLite

* Proficient with modern web engineering principles and concepts: REST, CRUD, HTTP, CORS

* Working knowledge of Git and SVN

* Experience with front-end web technologies: Javascript, HTML, CSS

* Proficient with Linux environments

* Experience working in an Agile development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

* Understanding of networking principles

* Understanding of search-oriented data stores: Lucene/Elasticsearch

* Experience with building microservices and cloud functions

* Experience with AWS or another cloud platform
