Our Aircraft Group is seeking a Metrology Technician for 2nd shift, focusing on Hydraulic Calibration!

As a Metrology A Technician, you will perform required operations to calibrated and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and dimensional measuring and test equipment. You will calibrate basic electronic measuring and test equipment using written procedures and automated calibrated workstation. The majority of equipment involves measuring and test equipment or components and systems used throughout the company or manufactured for sale.

This is what your day will look like…

· Perform viscosity tests on various hydraulic oils.

· Perform in-lab and on-site calibration of various hydraulic and pneumatic pressure indicators.

· Perform calibration of various flow measuring devices using standard flow turbine or cylinders.

· Calibrate Moog Hydraulic calibration transfer standards using master flow and pressure systems.

· Process data and generate reports using common or specified applications in Moog computer systems.

· Work from drawings, calibration procedures, Moog specifications, manufacturers’ instructions and applicable Military Specifications.

· Inspect and calibrate special purpose tools and fixtures used for acceptance of Moog products.

· Observe and report the condition and serviceability as well as proper calibration of all equipment being withdrawn or removed from the Calibration Labs.

· Operate company vehicles or handcarts for transporting equipment and performing on-site calibration and/or maintenance in all weather conditions.

We would like for you to meet the following education and experience requirements:

· You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

· Over three years up to and including five years of related experience is required.

· Understanding of the fundamentals of pressure, flow and temperature.

· Must have a valid NYS driver’s license

· Experience with various computer systems/interfaces and the aptitude to learn new systems.

*Must be able to train on 1st shift, then ultimately work independently on 2nd shift.
