Job Description

CACI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at Joint Base McGuire, Dix, Lakehurst, New Jersey. What You’ll Get to Do:

* Perform Computer-aided design software (CAD), preferably CREO Parametric
* Utilize engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, CREO Simulate, or similar)
* The designing and manufacturing of sheet metal components, steel and aluminum welded assemblies, CNC machined components, and additively manufactured components
* Work with the core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science etc.
* Operate and maintain additive manufacturing machinery

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

* The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance ( US Citizen)
* A BS Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited college or university in mechanical engineering or a closely related technical field or discipline.
* Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
* 3 years’ experience
* Creativity and analytical skills with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to develop solutions from an idea to final product
* Understanding of the implications of issues such as cost, safety, design for manufacturability, and time constraints
* Willingness to work in a field environment, and previous experience with military vehicles is a plus
* Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner, and the ability to work well with others
* Strong understanding of electrical engineering and experience in vehicle power system design is a plus
* Hands on mechanical aptitude/skills, knowledge of basic hand tools and shop procedures, ability to direct and lead technicians
* Ability to work with customers and provide a high level of customer satisfaction
