Master Planning Manager

The Master Planning Manager is responsible for managing the Master Scheduling and Capacity Planning Teams. He is also responsible for coordinating the OvRMs for the Site, as well as doing the analysis and reporting on VEX.

In line with the new Planning organisation in Gloucester, we are looking to create a new position as Master Planning Manager. The role will be to ensure the robustness of the master planning activity in SAP, maximising its stability and targeting consistent a 95%+ MPS adherence.

Responsibilities will include

*To coordinate the work of the Master Scheduling and Capacity Planning teams, in order to ensure the harmonization of working methods and the alignment to my clients standard rules.
*To ensure that backups within the teams are fully trained and operational.
*To run the monthly Load & Capacity meetings with the Shop Managers, identifying the capacity issues and possible solutions.
*To ensure the consistency between the Production Plans and the Master Production Schedules.
*To ensure that common planning rules are being established and followed and training material & local procedures kept to the right standard.
*To coordinate the VEX analysis for the site, running projections, identifying opportunities and taking the necessary actions in order to optimize the stock & WIP situation.
*To coordinate the OvRMs (Orders vs Requirements Matrix) for the site, acting on behalf of the Production Organisation at the monthly OvRM meetings with the sister sites, and ensuring consistency and adherence to the plan.
*To adopt the GPEC rules & methods in order to develop the skills in the team and ensure a good succession planning.
