Marine Gas Turbines Service Engineer Sydney

Air New Zealand Gas Turbines is a world leading OEM approved gas turbine service provider, with an international reputation for quality overhaul and repair services on General Electric LM2500 and LM5000 gas turbines and an international reputation for quality services and products. Supporting Military Marine sectors, Air New Zealand Gas Turbines holds a contract with General Electric that supports the on ship maintenance requirements of the Royal Australian Navy. It employees Marine Gas Turbine Service Engineers to carry out repair services pertaining to this contract. We have an opportunity based in Sydney, Australia for a dynamic, customer focused individual who has the drive and ability to operate confidently and at times independently, providing operational and maintenance support for the General Electric LM2500 Gas Turbine. Reporting to our Gas Turbines Sales and Services Manager but directed by the GE Program Manager, the successful candidate will provide maintenance support and assist with technical leadership to personnel performing work on the GE LM2500 marine engine, ensuring planned procedures are consistent with the technical specifications and safety requirements of the contract Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience specialising in marine propulsion or power generation maintenance, repair or inspection experience at the engineer or technician level. Additional consideration given to candidates who are GE OEM Level 2 trained (or USN LM2500 MGTI trained) Skill requirements: * Technically proficient in the maintenance and repair of the LM2500 Marine Gas Turbine Systems * Capable of preparing thorough job planning to include organization of parts and tools * Proactive, self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills * Excellent team player * Result oriented, customer first attitude * Capable of working safely and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation. Due to the nature of this role you will need to be available to work at short notice with the possibility of extended hours and field work involving some domestic or international travel.
