Triumph Integrated Systems, Fluid Power & Actuation, a division of Triumph Group, Inc. designs, engineers, tests, manufactures and repairs complex hydraulic and hydro-mechanical aircraft components and systems for the aerospace industry. This role will be using innovative MRB, (Material Review Board), techniques to resolve difficult manufacturing issues which are non-compliant to engineering and/or customer contract requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess the unique ability to work under pressure, providing engineering disposition of real-time and sometimes critical customer facing issues.

Responsibilities:

* Requires coordination of MRB engineering dispositions as required with stress, design, customer etc.
* Interface with internal and external customers to provide technical support to MRB related documentation.
* Works directly with Customers, Manufacturing Engineering, Lab, Assembly / Test, Quality Assurance, and suppliers.
* Strive to resolve issues impairing the operations team’s ability to deliver while maintaining sound engineering decision-making fundamentals.
* Responsible for preparing MRB engineering dispositions and related MRB documents for product non-conformance to restore the product to meet the intent of the certified design.
* Work with Programs and Supply Chain to ensure aggressive schedule requirements are met while maintaining Quality compliance
* Customer designated signatory for authorized concessions
* Assure compliance with internal MRB procedures
* Participates in internal and external MRB audits
* Works with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain in MRB process development/improvement
* Works in a cross function teams to establish and implement long-term corrective actions to recurring in house discrepancies that impact the business
* Evaluate and disposition hardware discrepancies on a daily basis with respect to drawing and specification requirements, including processing
* Provide assistance to Quality for the purpose of customer returned goods failure analyses as well as in house component failure analysis. This effort includes support to inspection and test in determination of root cause as well as documenting and participating in corrective actions and implementation activities
* Work with Design / Project Engineers and technical publications sources to assure completion of necessary changes in data to close corrective actions

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in the aerospace industry, hydraulic equipment, capital equipment, or heavy equipment industries
* A BS in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred, Electrical or Civil) or
* 3 years’ work experience as a MRB Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
* Prior experience as a MRB Engineer or other experience involving MRB activities that impact customer relationships, participating in engineering investigations, and in cross functional teams is highly desired
* Must be able to confidently interface with internal and external customers.
* Must be able to clearly communicate designs processes, decisions, results, and company positions
* Strong computer skills, utilizing common tools such as MS Office suite
* Experience with CAD tools
* Must be adaptable to working multiple tasks, have flexible schedules to meet project deadlines.
* Occasionally travel domestic and overseas.
