Position Description:

The key to the success of the Manufacturing Engineer is a strong desire to deliver manufacturing engineering efficiencies and improvements by partnering with our operations, technical and quality assurance teams at our Stansted facility, to define processes and reduce costs.

In support of this goal this individual must be able to demonstrate first-hand experience of designing and implementing process improvements and the delivery of associated cost savings, within a highly regulated and compliant industry environment.
Key elements include project management, application of lean manufacturing best practices, implementation of improved processes and controls, quantification of costs and savings, a hands-on approach with the ability to problem solve and provide engineering solutions, strong communication and excellent attention to detail.

JOB PURPOSE
Work across technical and engineering operations to deliver manufacturing engineering efficiencies and improvements across a breadth of activities; supporting existing and new products, defining processes and quantifying costs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure manufacturing processes are capable of achieving quality, cost, volume, delivery and lead time requirements.
• Identify and share relevant manufacturing best practice.
• Leverage knowledge of industry best practice to design and coordinate implementation of process improvements to meet current and future requirements.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction through improved processes and controls.
• Support teams to diagnose and resolve technical problems.
• Plan and manage ME related activities, across site.
• Support Team to quantify and report ME related cost structures and savings.
