Description

Reporting to the Head, Architecture and Technology, the Manager, Order Management Transformation, is responsible for leading the transformation agenda in the distribution space – from an architecture/business capability perspective. Working closely with travel agents, airlines, and industry IT systems providers, he/she will build industry awareness towards the modernization envisioned by NDC and ONE Order.

Responsibilities

* Drive the delivery of transition study (to a world of offers and orders) ensuring that needs and wants of all stakeholders (eg. airlines, sellers, aggregators, IT providers) is taken into consideration;
* Experience and proven track report of delivering enterprise-level architecture, city plans, and business/IT capability maps in complex travel (airlines, travel agents) organizations undergoing significant strategic and operational transformation;
* Experience of building transition plans and roadmaps that result in successful digital/enterprise transformations;
* Facilitate and lead industry forums, in particular to support the delivery of the transition study and also to support implementation efforts. Identify issues, propose resolution options, harvest implementation best practices. Contribute to delivery of regional ONE Order workshop and airlines alignment sessions;
* Develop, maintain and cultivate strong industry relationships at all levels, with special emphasis on architects and executive level IT leaders.

Qualifications and Skills

* University Degree or equivalent;
* Minimum 8 years in the travel industry (airline and/or travel agent exposure) with experience of airline systems/business capabilities and a good understanding about IATA New Distribution Capability (NDC) and ONE Order initiatives;
* Proven ability to develop concise articulated reports and to present at different management levels within organizations (externally or internally);
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated ability to build consensus amongst many industry stakeholders, comfortable with ambiguity;
* Positive attitude, willingness to drive industry transformation and ability to work internationally across various cultures;
* Fluency in English, a working knowledge of other languages desirable;
* Ready to travel worldwide;
