Description

Reporting to the Manager ONE Order standard & technology, the Manager ONE Order Standard Development, is responsible for the development of the ONE Order standard with the industry.

Working closely with airlines and major industry IT systems providers (Passenger Service Systems, Revenue Accounting and Ground Handlers), he/she will responsible for managing delivery of the standard and the development of standard documentation. See information here about this new industry initiative complementing NDC, recently approved by IATA Board.

Responsibilities

* Contribute to the ONE Order standard development, plan and strategy in collaboration with the appropriate industry governance
* Organize and moderate industry group work, meetings and conference calls
* Ensure the groups deliver the work as per roadmap, document and track outcome of meetings
* Drive and report documentation of the ONE Order Standard (Business Requirements, Implementation Guides, Technical Resolutions)
* Consolidate within ONE Order team the requirements for standard enhancement (industry pilots feedback or change requests)
* Coordinate with Airline Industry Data Model team upgrade of standard releases
* Communicate progress of standard to other industry standard committees
* Participate in potential future products in relation to ONE Order standard

Qualifications and Skills

* University degree in Computer Science, Air Transport Management or equivalent
* Minimum 7 years in air transport industry with experience of airlines systems environment
* Good understanding about IATA New Distribution Capability (NDC) initiative and new IT trends around e-commerce required
* Knowledge of XML, XSD, REST, JSON, APIs or any development skills would be an asset
* Understanding of business process and data modelling methodologies as UML is a plus
* Robust understanding of airline industry distribution & fulfilment processes & solutions is key
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with good capability to work consistently with multiple stakeholders
* Positive attitude, willingness to drive industry transformation and ability to work internationally across various cultures
* Ready to travel worldwide
* Fluency in English, a working knowledge of other languages desirable
