Description

Reporting to the Head, People, Performance and Development (PPD) in Montreal, the Manager, PPD (HR) will work closely with senior leaders, managers and employees in order to develop an HR agenda that closely supports the overall aims of the organization.

Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities include:
- Building a strong and valuable business relationship with internal clients and managing requests and solutions with them;
- Providing guidance and support to line managers in the area of organizational design, staffing & recruitment, performance management, learning & development, compensation & benefits, policies and procedures, employee engagement etc.; delivering trainings to people managers as needed;
- Coaching, guiding and mentoring internal customers as appropriate to influence organizational culture and performance; act as a change agent in alignment with the business & HR strategy;
- Advising and communicating on internal policies, processes and local labor law; supporting the Head, PPD Montreal in resolving complex employee relations issues and addressing grievances;
- Implementing and administering the learning and development activities for Montreal based employees;
- Acting as the back-up of the Assistant Manager on Payroll and Immigration issues when needed;
- Any other tasks as requested by the Head, PPD Montreal.

Qualifications and Skills

University degree in business administration, law or other relevant fields;
A minimum of 8 years of working experience with international HR exposure; expertise in employee engagement and employee relation issues an asset;
Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills;
Proven ability to build strong relationships with business partners;
Strong leadership, emotional intelligence and organizational skills;
Capacity to work under pressure and integrity;
Fluency in English and French.
